Aurelia Designs (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates this website and also sells in-person at craft fairs and markets across the UK.

Our products and services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

Who we share your information with

We only share information with trusted providers who help us run our business:

  • Shopify – our website and e-commerce platform

  • Stripe – payment processing for card transactions

  • Monzo – our business banking

  • Gmail – for customer communications

  • Google Docs – to securely store customer order information and event sign-up details

  • Royal Mail and trusted couriers – for deliveries

  • Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and TreeLink – where customers engage with our brand online

When you interact with Aurelia Designs through Shopify, Stripe, or social media platforms, some of your data is also handled directly by those platforms under their own privacy terms.

These partners all have their own privacy policies that meet GDPR requirements.

Collecting details at craft fairs and events

Sometimes we collect customer details in person, for example:

  • to complete an order, arrange a custom piece, or

  • if you’d like to receive updates or offers.

For orders and commissions: we collect only the details we need to fulfil your purchase (name, contact info, delivery address, and design details).
The lawful basis is contract, so we can make and deliver your item.

For marketing sign-ups: we’ll only add you to our email list if you clearly consent by signing up in writing.
We’ll never add your details to our marketing list without your clear, written consent.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing aureliardesigns@gmail.com or unsubscribing from an email.

Storage: paper forms are digitised into Google Docs and destroyed once uploaded. Google Docs follows GDPR-compliant privacy and security standards.

Data retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed for orders, accounting, and legal purposes.

  • Customer order and payment details are retained for up to six years to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.

  • Marketing contact details are stored until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

  • Craft fair sign-ups are digitised and destroyed securely after transfer.

  • Social media direct messages relating to orders or questions are moved to email and deleted once resolved.

  • Shopify retains customer and order information until we delete or anonymise it in line with our six-year retention period.

  • Google Docs is used to store customer order information securely, in line with this policy.

Shopify, Stripe, Google, and Monzo all use strong security and privacy standards to protect your data.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you,

  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information,

  • ask us to delete your data,

  • restrict or object to how we use it, and

  • withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

If you make a request, we’ll respond within one month, in line with UK GDPR requirements.
