Welcome to Aurelia Designs! Every piece is lovingly handmade with care, creativity, and attention to detail. By placing an order or making a purchase (online or in person), you agree to the terms and conditions below — these ensure clarity, fairness, and protection for both you (the customer) and me (the maker).

These terms and conditions apply to all sales made through the Aurelia Designs website, social media, and at in-person events, including craft fairs and pop-ups.


1. Orders and Payment

For online and face-to-face purchases of ready-made items, payment is required in full at the time of purchase.

A contract is formed between you and Aurelia Designs once your order has been accepted and you receive a confirmation email or payment receipt. Aurelia Designs reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order prior to dispatch, for example, if there is a pricing or stock error.

Every Aurelia Designs item is handmade, so small variations in colour, placement, or finish may occur. These are part of the handmade nature of the product and are not considered faults. I make every effort to ensure photos and descriptions are accurate, but colours may appear differently depending on your screen or device.


2. Bespoke Orders

For all bespoke orders, a 75% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required before any work begins. This deposit secures your booking and covers design time, materials, and preparation.

Deposits cannot be refunded or transferred to another project or future order.

A booking form will confirm all bespoke order details, including design, quantity, deadlines, pricing, and any secret dates that may require me to pause social media sharing (I’ll never spoil a surprise!).

All bespoke items are created to your agreed brief and signed off before production. Once approved, bespoke orders cannot be changed or amended.

When your items are complete, I’ll share photos of the finished pieces for you to review and approve.

Following approval, the remaining 25% balance (including postage costs) is then due and must be paid in full before any order is dispatched or collected.

All goods remain the property of Aurelia Designs until full payment has been received. No bespoke items will be released, shipped, or handed over until the remaining balance is paid in full.

Bespoke Order Cancellations

If you choose to cancel a bespoke order at any stage, any payments made to date (including deposits or full balances) will be non-refundable and non-transferable.


3. Ready-Made Orders

At Aurelia Designs, every item is handmade with care, and I want you to love your purchase.

Online Orders

If your item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact me within 2 days of delivery by emailing aureliardesigns@gmail.com with your order details and clear photos of the damaged item and packaging. I’ll review the issue and discuss a suitable resolution.

If the item is confirmed to be faulty or damaged, Aurelia Designs will cover the cost of return postage.
If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, this must be done within 14 days of delivery, and return postage will be at your expense.

Please note that jewellery (including earrings) is classed as an intimate item and, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, is non-returnable and non-refundable unless it arrives faulty or damaged.

Face-to-Face Sales (Craft Fairs and Events)

Items purchased in person are sold as seen. Customers have the opportunity to inspect items before purchasing, so refunds or exchanges are not offered for change of mind.

However, if an item is found to be faulty, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact aureliardesigns@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase with details and photos of the issue.

By handling items at in-person events, you agree to treat products with care. Any items damaged while being handled or displayed will be considered sold and must be paid for in full.


4. Delivery and Dispatch

I aim to dispatch all orders within 5–7 working days of your order being placed (unless otherwise stated).

Ready-made orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery and are typically dispatched within 1–3 working days.
Bespoke orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 Delivery once the final design is approved and the remaining balance has cleared.

All delivery timeframes are estimates provided by Royal Mail and may vary during busy periods such as Christmas, or due to postal strikes, extreme weather, or other circumstances beyond my control. Aurelia Designs cannot be held responsible for postal delays once an item has been dispatched.

Royal Mail considers a parcel officially lost only after 10 working days (for Tracked 24/48 services) from the expected delivery date. If your parcel hasn’t arrived within this period, please contact me so I can raise a claim on your behalf.

If a delivery address is entered incorrectly at checkout or changed after an order has been dispatched, Aurelia Designs cannot be held responsible for non-delivery, delays, or additional postage costs.
If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address, refusal, or failure to collect, additional postage costs will be required to resend it.

Aurelia Designs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from delivery delays, including missed occasions, events, or gifting deadlines.


5. Packaging, Safety, and Presentation

All orders are packaged with care and attention to detail.

Each parcel is checked and photographed before dispatch to confirm its condition and contents.

Orders are packaged securely and beautifully to ensure your item arrives safely.

Gift wrapping is available as an additional service and will be fulfilled where this option has been selected and paid for online, or agreed in person at a face-to-face sale. By selecting gift wrapping, you agree to the additional cost at the time of purchase.

All packaging should be handled with care and kept out of reach of small children and animals.
Items from Aurelia Designs are not toys and should not be given to or used unsupervised by children. Some items and packaging may contain small parts or decorative elements that could present a choking hazard. All items should only be used or displayed under appropriate supervision.

Please follow any care instructions provided with your item to help maintain its quality and longevity.

Please note that some packages may be delivered through a letterbox. Aurelia Designs cannot be held liable for:

  • any damage caused by the delivery company once the parcel has left our care,

  • any damage caused by pets or animals after delivery, or

  • any harm or illness caused if products or packaging are chewed, ingested, or otherwise interfered with by pets, children, or others after delivery.

By purchasing from Aurelia Designs, you accept responsibility for the safe handling and storage of all items and packaging once delivered.


6. Tracking and Postal Responsibility

Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email containing your Royal Mail tracking number.
You can track your delivery directly via www.royalmail.com/track-your-item.

Aurelia Designs keeps full proof of postage, tracking records, and photographic evidence of your items before they are posted.

Responsibility breakdown:

  • Aurelia Designs: Responsible for creating your item to the agreed brief, packaging it securely, and ensuring it’s posted with accurate tracking.

  • Customer: Responsible for providing the correct delivery address and monitoring tracking updates.

  • Royal Mail: Responsible for physical delivery.

If a parcel is confirmed as lost or damaged, Aurelia Designs will either replace or refund the item, and then pursue a claim with Royal Mail. Refunds or replacements will only be issued once sufficient evidence or confirmation has been received.

Aurelia Designs cannot accept liability for the loss of jewellery or other items due to postal delay or mishandling once dispatched to Royal Mail.


7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurelia Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of products or services.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the item in question.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


8. Returns Procedure (for eligible items only)

Please contact me before returning any item to discuss the reason for return.

Items must be returned unused, in original packaging, and posted with proof of return (such as a tracked delivery receipt).

Aurelia Designs will confirm receipt via email within 48 hours of your returned parcel being received.
Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days once the item has been safely received, checked, and confirmed eligible for return. Refunds will be made to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

Certain items are non-returnable and non-refundable, including:

  • Jewellery and earrings (for hygiene reasons)

  • Custom, personalised, or bespoke items

If a return is sent without proof of posting or tracking, Aurelia Designs cannot be held responsible for any lost or delayed parcels sent back by the customer.

This returns and refund policy does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection laws.


9. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data in line with UK GDPR regulations.


10. Legal and Contact Information

Aurelia Designs operates in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

11. Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions and any disputes arising under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.


12. Updates to These Terms

Aurelia Designs may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in law, guidance, or business practice. Any updates will be posted on our website with a revised date.
